Literature Text

She sits so hollow, so alone
within her mind an empty throne.
On either side a body lies
she takes a sleeve, wipes her eyes-
and still cannot decide.

Her screaming echoes, fading fast,
her future will not be the past.
His gentle laughter, her soft stare
she softly whimpers, pulls her hair
the bodies still are there.

She will not choose one, fearing loss,
yet to have both would dearly cost.
So quietly she says goodbye,
her sobbing turned to muffled sighs-
and never will decide.
This is an older poem that I've always liked.
I just though it flowed so well when I wrote it.
I'm still proud of it- but I can tell its an older work.

hope you enjoy.

I did enjoy it. I liked how it flowed too. It has pleasing rhyme and rhythm. Amusingly sad.
